Neck Deep in Flowers!

I just finished the flower painting for my Grandma. She wanted me to add a touching verse that has been an encouragement to her over the years.

The lettering was tricky to color, but with the added black in the flowers it all balanced out. The painting was done in acrylic paint on canvas with paint pen accents. In one of the photos you can see the view from our sunroom. A wall of flowers! Very inspiring until I look closely at how much I need to get out there and weed! Ugggg....no guts, no glory eh? ")

New Sketchbook, New Doodles . . .

Got a brand spankin' new moleskin sketchbook about a week ago. The paper in it is fantastic, although manilla colored & Im crossing my fingers that it will translate to cards decently. Could be fun for a change. I finally got the chance to brainstorm new card ideas. It has been a while since the ol' pens have been let out to play. Can't wait to slap these on cards, add a dab of glitter and see how they turn out!
