Katy Paints Her 1st People!

Not to bad for a 3 year old! She also learned how to paint flowers today. We had so much fun, camped out on the floor with the watercolors and lots of paper. She made all her Christmas presents! YAY! We are going to scan her flower paintings and make cards for the family. Love this time of year!!

Binky Free - A BIG Celebration!

My little gal is now officially binky free! We ran around the house collecting them, put them under the pillow, in hopes that the Binky Fairy would show up tonight with a congratulatory treasure. We will see! ")

One of my favorite illustrators . .

 

If you are looking for a highly readable bedtime book, this is currently one of our favorites. 

David Catrow is an amazing illustrator and artist. I love his style and how his work is so fresh and unique. 

The expressions on his characters are priceless! We have read it a million times . . . not sick of it yet and I am still catching bits and pieces in his illustration that I hadn't noticed before. Brilliant!

A definite must read!!

PS My 3 year old wanted me to point out that the little boy doesn't obey his mommy very well, 

and that he is going to get a time out.  ")

Just Finished!

I devoured this in two days, I was so excited for a new book to read.
The first bit was a tad slow, but the last 1/3 was fantastic!
I loved this highly original adventure. It is a definite must read.
