2010 Weekly Calendar Finished!

 

 

Creating Custom Brushes in GIMP - What NOT to Do . . .

Note to self - When creating new brushes, don't leave the eraser tool active and then wonder why all the new brushes you have created are not taking. Uggg...ggggg....gggg. Now I know.
At least I figured it out and am having a blast creating leaves and apples for my current project. SUCH a blast!
I can't wait to tinker more. LOVE GIMP!

Progress @ Long Last . . .

I am very excited to see this never ending project FINALLY making some headway. (How many times have I said that now?) I don't know why I am doing this except to say that I haven't tackled the challenge of creating a calendar yet, so I must give it a shot. Stubbornness? Ah . .Yes.
The design has been a ever evolving, but the hardest bit has been the layout - trying to print the pages back to back in the right order.
The most recent revelation of the calendar was produced after I realized that none of my family members use monthly calendars, they use weekly. Uggg . .. I may forgive them someday. Not today . . .  It is 1:24am and I am going to bed.
