Alisa Burke - Graffiti Class!
Oh Boy! As an early birthday present (thank you Kevin!) . . I got to take a class today with Alisa Burke. I stumbled across her blog and quickly fell in love with her liberating approach to art and beautiful work. I could not believe my luck that she was in our neck of the woods teaching a class! Alisa is a kick and a blast to create with.
This is me being a cheesy fan . . .
It is not everyday that I get to meet an artist, whose work has inspired me to bust through the creative roadblocks that I have surrounded myself with and rethink my own approach to art. I am not just painting out side the box,
I am ripping it open and painting all over the box! Messy and fun.
Here are the pieces I created during the class.
Thank you Alisa!

Romans 5:5 - Hope does not disappoint . . Especially when it comes to Bisquick pancakes!
New mixed media doodle on the back of an unfolded Bisquick box. I had a great time layering it with newspaper and several layers of finger paintings. Then it was an all out assault with the paint pens. It was a, "need to get messy and vent artistically" kinda night.

Spring Gifts and Birthday Presents - In progress . . .
These are in progress birthday gifts for a darling cousin and good friend of my daughter. Sparkles and ribbon will be added to make them "little Princess" appropriate. ")
My 3 year old helped me paint this flower pot for her Grandma and Grandpa for Easter. We also got some to do for thank you gifts for two incredible gals that watch her while I work. She loves drawing people so I thought I would put her to work. ")
A "Love" for my Sister for Easter.
