A good lookin Dad

My Dad needed a photo for his college's webpage. He is a professor. This was a family photo that I cropped, turned B&W and airbrushed out the people in the background using GIMP. Pretty slick! Love that software!

A Cozy Happy Squirrel!

My 2 year old created this masterpiece. It is her favorite animal. She watercolored a piece of paper & mom cut out the squirrel shape and glued it on scrapbook paper.
It will be scanned and turned into cards to give as her Christmas gifts.

Personalized A, B, C Gift Book!

Personalized A, B, C books are a blast to make as gifts and easy to mail! Also a quick turnaround, once you have your template established.
I used Publisher and formatted the page to fit a 4"x6" paper. ( 1 page for each letter.) Then off to Google images to find fun photos with white backgrounds.
This was a gift for my daughter's 2 year old friend. I personalized the book with her name and things she loves (bounce house, noodle soup, the friend photo etc.)
Blue Bison http://www.bluebison.net/ is where I got the x-ray picture. The site is fantastic!
These were printed on 4"x6" photo paper and will go in a basic plastic photo book (usually around $1) .
My goal is to put my own artwork in and have something similar up on Etsy. I needed a doodling break and it was a good chance to break in the GIMP program. Loved it!

New to Fairyland

These were supposed to be 2 artist trading cards. The art fairy sized out ok, but I got totally out of control with the fairy house. Too many fun details to add. So the tree will convert to a card to send the ATC in. It's the art that counts, not the size right? ")

Sneek Peek . . .

Just a Rough Draft . . . but it is coming together!

Happy October!

First Feis - Portland Feis 2008 - Great Job Murray School!

We had an amazing weekend! My daughter got to participate in her first Irish dancing competition . . . the grin hasn't left her face and she is still on cloud 9.
The Feis was hosted locally by our dance school (Murray School of Irish Dance). It was wonderful getting to talk with other parents and cheer on other Murray dancers.
The best part was that "Gigi" (86) was here from L. A. and got to see the dancing. Grandmas, Grandpa, Little Sis and Dad were all there as well! It was a family schwingdig!
Special "Thank Yous"
1) Dad - Thank you for watching the Little Sis this weekend! We love you!!
2) To all the veteran ID Moms (who constantly helped steer us in the right direction)
3) Erin - Your help reviewing the dances with us has been so appreciated!
4) Sheryl - You just plain rock!
5) Colleen - For finding "Koally" and all our kit! ")
6) The Number Printing Guy - We know you had a lot to do. Thank you for printing out an extra for us!

We are completely sucked into the whole ID world now, and loving it!
